Privacy Policy
Candidate Portal is registered with the
Data Protection Registry and we take our commitments and obligations under
the Data Protection Act 1998 (and any subsequent legislation) very
seriously. Our aim is that your visit to our Website is enjoyable and
informative and that you will return to the site in the knowledge that the
privacy of your information or personal data is secure.
Personal Information – as defined within
the Data Protection Act, includes your name, date of birth, e-mail and
postal address or any information, which would enable an individual to be
identified. These are known as ‘personal identifiers’. We may in the usage
of this website require some or all of these personal identifiers to be
provided. Where such information is given, we are committed to protecting
the privacy of the information received. No information about you will be
collected without your consent.
We do not divulge or sell personal
information to other sources such as mailing houses and the like under any
circumstances. We may, however use the information given for our own
purposes - to advise you of our products and services and additional
information about our business.
The Data Protection Act also includes
regulations controlling the security of data held and we apply procedures
in respect of both the storage and disclosure of information to prevent
unauthorised disclosure of information. Privacy of information given is
paramount and we will not disclose any information about you to a third
party (unless required by law so to do) without your permission.
The Data Protection Act requires that
information held about a user must be accurate and up to date. In the
event that your details change or you move address it would be helpful if
you could advise us of such a change so that your records can be updated.
As well as
requiring information to be up to date, the Act also provides that
information should not be held or processed for longer than is necessary.
You can therefore request that your details be deleted from our register
at any time, although we would require written authority
(or e-mail) from you in order to do this.
If you wish to
stop such mailing or would prefer to be removed from our register, contact
customer services support@candidateportal.com by email, or in writing and we will action your request.
Any changes
in our Data Protection Privacy Statement will be notified through this
page, so that you are always aware as to how we collect and process
personal data, how we use the same and more importantly under what
circumstances we disclose that information to other parties.
